Indian River Community Makes the Holidays Bright for the Hibiscus Village Youth

Indian River County, FL – The Indian River community definitely helped to make the holidays brighter this season for abused, abandoned and neglected youth served by the Hibiscus Children’s Center.  The Hibiscus “Santa’s Elves” Program partnered closely with our generous community to collect and organize toys and gifts for the teens living at the Hibiscus Village in Vero Beach.  Hibiscus Children’s Center’s wonderful volunteers and guild members help to coordinate, wrap gifts and ensure the teen’s wish lists are filled!  There is no doubt that the holiday spirit of giving and generosity was in the air as local businesses and individuals helped to provide memories and excitement for these teens who have experienced too much tragedy in their young lives.  Our community, volunteers and staff brought joy and smiles to the teen’s faces on Christmas morning … what a priceless gift!

Some of the generous holiday community partners this year included ABATE Motorcycle Club, Big Apple Pizza, Carter’s Outlet, GAP, Elements Gym, Farm Bureau Insurance, First Presbyterian Church, Girl Scout Troop #50275, Hammock Lakes, Grove Isle, Kimley-Horn, Living Lord Lutheran, Olive Garden, Osceola Magnet School, Panera Bread, Parris Family Chiropractic, Plato’s Closet, Massey/Romans Raymond James, Remax, Riverside Family Dental, Rosewood Magnet School, Spanish Lakes Country Club, Too Jay’s and Vero Beach Woman’s Club.   Thank you to all our holiday supporters!

Thank you to all involved for your generosity, caring spirit and kindness to the children!  What a wonderful way to give children special memories that will last a lifetime.
