Treasure Coast Community Makes the Holidays Bright for the Hibiscus Children

Treasure Coast, FL – The Treasure Coast community definitely helped to make the holidays brighter this season for abused, abandoned and neglected children and youth served by Hibiscus Children’s Center.  The Hibiscus “Santa’s Elves” Program partnered closely with our generous community to collect and organize toys and gifts to fill hundreds of wish lists for Christmas.  The happy recipients were the children living at the Hibiscus Shelter in Jensen Beach, the teens living at the Hibiscus Village in Vero Beach, and children in St. Lucie County served by Hibiscus’ community outreach programs.

There was no doubt that the holiday spirit of giving and generosity was in the air as local businesses, organizations and individuals helped to provide memories and excitement for the children and youth. Many of these children and teens have experienced trauma and difficult challenges, but thanks to our incredible community, volunteers and staff, they have been given the gifts of joy, love and smiles on their faces this Christmas season … what priceless gifts!

Thank you to all involved for your generosity, caring spirit and kindness to our children and youth.  What a wonderful way to give them special memories that will last a lifetime.
