Healing Families Program (HFP) is designed to expand services to include adults—focusing on families. Per the 2010 U.S. Census Bureau, there was an estimated 478,841 adults living within the Treasure Coast’s quad-county region, with 32,561 adults living in families of children less than 17 years old. Thousands of these adults have substance abuse or mental health issues. They live in families within the major cities of Vero Beach, Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie, Stuart, Jensen Beach, and Okeechobee.

Several addictions, substance abuse, or detox facilities exist in the region, such as the New Horizons of the Treasure Coast and Treasure Coast Medical Health Care. Community crisis and rehabilitation services are also available for these adults. The difference with what HFP offers, however, is that we  provide help to the whole family—the parent/caregiver adult and the children. Our expert team provides compassionate care to help patients build the foundation for a healthy, happy, drug-free future.

The Healing Families Outpatient location provides customized outpatient (OP) for adults and teens. Compassionate care is offered for those struggling with addiction to alcohol, heroin, cocaine, prescription medications, marijuana, over-the-counter drugs, and other substances. Our highly credentialed clinicians develop individualized treatment plans to address each patient’s unique needs and personal strengths. Services include immediate assessments, drug testing, and referrals to residential care as warranted.

We focus on healthy, positive life choices and encourage patients to identify and maximize their own individual strengths. We are also prepared to help patients with co-occurring mental health problems, such as depression, anxiety, attention deficit disorder, and bipolar disorder. Services include life-skills training, health education, family reintegration assistance, and continuing care services to help ensure sustained recovery.

At Hibiscus Children’s Center, everyone is guaranteed the highest quality of care, delivered with professionalism and respect. We pride ourselves on providing outstanding and accessible substance use treatment. Our professional staff are licensed and master-level certified addictions professionals. All our staff are trauma-trained and the agency has received the Sanctuary Model Certification. Convenient hours make treatment accessible to working adults and students. Most Medicaid plans are accepted, and additional payment options, including self-payment, are available.
