Hibiscus Children’s Center Receives Maximus Foundation Grant
Hibiscus Children’s Center is pleased to announce we are the recipients of a $13,500 grant from the Maximus Foundation. This generous grant will help improve the lives of children living at the Tilton Family Children’s Shelter in Jensen Beach.
The Shelter provides safe haven for up to 36 abused, abandoned and neglected children, ages birth to 12, and older children may be admitted as part of a sibling group. Children receive medical, dental, education and literacy services. Master’s level therapists who specialize in the treatment of trauma- based disorders and victims of sexual abuse provide mental health counseling to the children. Hibiscus is grateful to the Maximus Foundation for helping to provide these critical services and helping children heal from the trauma of abuse and move forward toward a brighter future.
Thank you to the Maximus Foundation for partnering with Hibiscus Children’s Center in the fight against child abuse and helping to give children the safety, love and guidance they need to thrive.
“In recognition of their impact in our community, the Maximus Foundation is pleased to award a grant to Hibiscus Children’s Center,” said John Boyer, Maximus Foundation Chairman. “We are delighted to present this award to this impressive organization whose work reflects our shared values—partnering with people in under resourced communities and connecting them to the tools they need to build better lives for themselves, their families, and their neighbors. I thank Hibiscus Children’s Center for its collaborative approach to enriching the lives of those it serves.”
