Hibiscus Children’s Center Celebrates Children at the 29th Annual Jo Covelli Luncheon

Martin County, FL – Hibiscus Children’s Center is excited to present the 29th Annual Jo Covelli Luncheon on Monday, March 2, 2020. Held annually at the prestigious Sailfish Point Country Club, the festivities will begin at 11am with a champagne cocktail reception while guests peruse terrific auction items and have a chance to win great raffle baskets. Items include getaways to the Keys, Charleston & Orlando, gift certificates to the area’s best restaurants and attractions. Hibiscus is thankful to the many auction and raffle donors who provided incredible items to help raise funds for the children. Guests will enjoy the 50’s & ’60s themed afternoon and period attire is optional.
Guests will enjoy a delicious gourmet luncheon, shopping and the lovely and creative hat contest! The highlight of the afternoon will be our special 50’s & 60’s musical performances by our very own Daryl Magill, Steven Chase and Jessica Santana. Daryl is an energetic and fabulous local and national performer who joined the Hibiscus Guild several years ago to bring his amazing talent to the Hibiscus Children’s Center. Daryl currently performs with The Chase Band out of Miami. Steven Chase is a Florida native who started his musical career in a rock band and played Miami’s top clubs. Steven went on to back up many famous acts including Lou Rawls, The Fifth Dimension, and Three Dog Night and during the ’70s, Steve was a studio player who cranked out hit after hit for artists like KC & Sunshine Band, Benny Latimore, Anita Ward, Peter Brown, Betty Wright and Foxy. Steve’s success continued to grow and alongside his orchestra, became the most sought after dance band for Miami’s biggest and most glamorous affairs including several celebrities.
Jessica Santana is a 22 year-old local resident who has been singing since a young child and has performed the National Anthem for the Miami Marlins, the Houston Astros, and the Washington National’s and has performed in numerous shows as a member of the Jetts, back-up vocalists for the Daryl Magill Show.
