The wonderful thrift store volunteers helped us celebrate our 20th Birthday Bash!
Martin County, FL --- The Hibiscus Children’s Center Treasure House held a Birthday Bash on February 20th to celebrate 20 years of community support for its thrift store. The theme of the day was a big thank you to our generous community … we couldn’t have done it without you! Your loving support has made a positive difference in the lives of children and families in our community. The day was filled with great savings throughout the entire store with sales from 25 - 75% off. Guests enjoyed coffee and refreshments while perusing the great items that are donated by community members – clothing, household items, children’s toys and games, books, furniture, electronics and more. The celebration continued in to the afternoon when the volunteers, customers and staff gathered together to blow out the birthday candles and enjoy cake! Lucky winners took home drawing prizes and certificates for shopping at the thrift store and local shops.
For over three decades, Hibiscus Children’s Center has been saving children and has provided over 300,000 nights of safety to abused children on the Treasure Coast. The Treasure House has been an integral part of these services and in supporting children and families in our community who are in desperate need of our help. The Treasure House has provided thousands of gently used items for sale to the public and 100% of the proceeds go directly into the Hibiscus Programs.
In addition to sales, children and families served by Hibiscus’ programs receive vouchers for household and clothing items they need and youth who are aging out of the child welfare system are provided necessary items for their new residence to help them as they begin their journey in to adulthood.
